Mikhail Khodorkovsky

Mikhail Khodorkovsky is a former Russian oligarch and businessman, best known as the head of Yukos Oil Company, one of Russia's largest oil firms in the late 1990s. He became one of the richest men in Russia but fell out of favor with President Vladimir Putin. In 2003, Khodorkovsky was arrested on charges of fraud and tax evasion, which many viewed as politically motivated. He served ten years in prison before being released in 2013. Since then, Khodorkovsky has become a vocal critic of the Russian government, advocating for democracy and human rights.
