Median Voter Theorem
The Median Voter Theorem suggests that in a democratic election, candidates will position their policies to appeal to the voter in the middle of the political spectrum. Since this "median voter" represents the largest group of people, candidates aim to win their support to secure victory. Therefore, rather than catering exclusively to their party's extremes, most candidates will adopt moderate positions that resonate with the average voter, leading to outcomes that reflect the preferences of the majority of the electorate.
