Marquesan language

Marquesan is a Polynesian language spoken by the indigenous people of the Marquesas Islands, which are part of French Polynesia. It belongs to the Austronesian language family and is one of the unique languages that developed in isolation in the Pacific. The language has several dialects, reflecting the different islands of the archipelago.
