Tiki refers to a style and cultural aesthetic that originated in the mid-20th century, primarily in the United States, inspired by Polynesian culture. It encompasses tropical-themed food, drinks, and decor, often featuring bamboo, Tiki carvings, and lush greenery. Tiki culture is closely associated with tiki bars, which serve exotic cocktails, commonly made with rum and adorned with playful garnishes. The movement gained popularity in the 1950s and 60s, promoting a sense of escapism and leisure, reflecting an idealized image of island life.
