Macrostates
In general knowledge, a macrostate refers to a large-scale description of a system defined by its overall properties, like temperature, pressure, or volume, rather than the details of its individual components. For example, when discussing a gas in a container, the macrostate might describe the gas as being at a certain temperature and pressure, without detailing the positions and velocities of every gas particle. Macrostates can be associated with many microstates, which are the specific arrangements and behaviors of individual particles that give rise to the observed macroscopic properties.
