Linear perspective

Linear perspective is a technique used in art and design to create the illusion of depth and space on a flat surface. It works by depicting parallel lines (like railway tracks) converging at a single point on the horizon, known as the vanishing point. As objects recede into the distance, they appear smaller and closer together, enhancing the three-dimensional effect. This method was developed during the Renaissance and helps viewers perceive spatial relationships realistically, making two-dimensional artworks feel more lifelike and immersive.
