Lemuria

Lemuria is a hypothetical lost continent that was believed to have existed in the Pacific or Indian Ocean regions during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was proposed to explain certain geological and biological phenomena, such as the distribution of species and the presence of similar fossils across distant continents. Although modern science has discredited Lemuria as a real landmass—replacing it with plate tectonics and continental drift—the concept persists in some spiritual and esoteric circles as a mythical civilization representing ancient wisdom and advanced spiritual development.
