Atlanteans
Atlanteans refer to the mythical inhabitants of Atlantis, a legendary island first mentioned by the Greek philosopher Plato around 360 B.C. He described Atlantis as a highly advanced civilization that existed about 9,000 years before his time, located beyond the "Pillars of Hercules" (commonly thought to be the Strait of Gibraltar). According to the myth, Atlantis was prosperous but eventually fell out of favor with the gods, leading to its sudden disappearance beneath the ocean. The story of Atlantis has inspired countless theories about lost civilizations, as well as cultural references in literature and popular media.
