LASIK

LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is a surgical procedure that corrects vision problems like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. It uses a precise laser to reshape the cornea—the clear front part of the eye—so light enters correctly and focuses on the retina for clearer vision. The procedure is quick, usually painless, and often results in reduced dependence on glasses or contact lenses. Most patients experience improved vision within a day or two. LASIK is considered safe and effective, but like all surgeries, it carries some risks, which should be discussed with an eye care professional.
