La Otra Campaña
La Otra Campaña, or "The Other Campaign," was a political initiative launched in 2006 by the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) in Mexico. Led by Subcommander Marcos, it aimed to promote grassroots participation and social justice, distancing itself from traditional political parties and the electoral process. The movement emphasized listening to and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities across Mexico. It sought to address issues such as indigenous rights, labor rights, and socio-economic inequality, fostering solidarity among various social movements. Ultimately, La Otra Campaña aimed to create a more inclusive and equitable society through direct activism rather than electoral politics.
