Konstantin Novoselov

Konstantin Novoselov is a physicist renowned for his pioneering work on graphene, a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a two-dimensional lattice. Graphene is remarkable for its exceptional electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and flexibility, making it a promising material for numerous applications in electronics, energy, and materials science. Novoselov’s research has advanced our understanding of condensed matter physics, influencing the development of new semiconductor technologies and devices. In 2010, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics, alongside Andre Geim, for their groundbreaking experiments with graphene, which have opened new avenues in materials research.
