Kant

Immanuel Kant was a philosopher who explored how we understand the world and make moral choices. He believed that our knowledge comes both from experience and from innate ways our mind structures that experience. Kant argued that certain principles, like honesty or fairness, are universal moral duties we should follow, not just based on consequences. He emphasized the importance of acting according to these moral rules out of respect for their rightness, a concept he called the “categorical imperative.” Overall, Kant’s work helps explain how we can seek truth and establish ethical standards that apply to everyone.
