Kamikaze Tactics

Kamikaze tactics originated during World War II, primarily used by the Japanese. The term means "divine wind," and refers to suicide attacks where pilots deliberately crashed their planes, loaded with explosives, into enemy ships. This strategy aimed to inflict maximum damage, especially when Japan faced losing ground. Kamikaze pilots were trained to carry out these missions with little chance of survival, embodying a sense of duty and honor. While effective in some instances, these tactics reflected the desperation of Japan's military situation as the war progressed.
