John Sedgwick

John Sedgwick was a prominent Union general during the American Civil War, known for his leadership in major battles such as Antietam and Gettysburg. Born in 1813, he became a key figure in the Union Army, recognized for his bravery and tactical skill. Unfortunately, he was killed in 1864 during the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, famously urging his troops to "forward" just before he was struck by a bullet.
