James Connolly

James Connolly was a prominent Irish socialist and revolutionary leader in the early 20th century. He dedicated his life to fighting for workers' rights, social equality, and Irish independence from British rule. A trained soldier and skilled organizer, Connolly co-founded the Irish Socialist Republican Party and played a key role in the 1916 Easter Rising, an armed rebellion aiming for Irish independence. Despite being wounded and ultimately executed for his role, his ideas about social justice, land rights, and national sovereignty continue to influence Irish politics and labor movements today.
