
James Baird Weaver
James Baird Weaver was a significant figure in American politics during the late 19th century. Born in 1833, he was a farmer, lawyer, and politician, known primarily for his role in the Populist Party, which advocated for the interests of farmers and working-class citizens. Weaver ran for President in 1892, promoting ideas such as government control of railroads and increased money supply to help struggling farmers. He symbolized the growing discontent with traditional political parties and the rising demand for economic reforms during a period of social and economic upheaval in the United States. Weaver passed away in 1912.
