Farmers' Alliances

Farmers' Alliances were grassroots organizations formed in the late 19th century in the United States to address the struggles faced by farmers, including low crop prices and high costs for supplies. These alliances aimed to promote cooperatives, allowing farmers to pool resources, buy in bulk, and sell their goods collectively to increase profits. They also advocated for political reforms, such as regulation of railroads and financial support for agriculture.
