Iftar

Iftar is the meal Muslims eat to break their daily fast during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. At sunset, Muslims pause their fasting and gather to consume food and drinks, often starting with dates and water, following the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad. This meal signifies spiritual reflection, gratitude, and community bonding. Iftar is typically a social event, with families and friends sharing a variety of dishes to replenish energy after a day of fasting from dawn to sunset. It’s both a physical necessity and a spiritual act of devotion.
