IceTop

IceTop is a surface array of detectors designed to study high-energy cosmic rays in the Antarctic ice. It is part of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, which detects neutrinos, elusive particles from outer space. IceTop consists of surface stations that capture signals generated by cosmic rays interacting with the atmosphere and the ice below.
