Honeybee Communication

Honeybee communication primarily occurs through two methods: dance and pheromones. When a forager bee finds a good food source, it returns to the hive and performs a "waggle dance," which conveys information about the distance and direction of the food. Bees interpret this dance to locate the resource. Additionally, pheromones—chemical signals produced by bees—communicate various messages, such as alerts about danger or signals to attract mates. Together, these methods allow honeybees to effectively share important information with one another, ensuring the success and survival of the colony.
