Home Fronts
The "Home Front" during World War I refers to the civilian effort in countries involved in the war, focusing on the activities and sacrifices made by people at home to support the military. This included rationing food and resources, working in factories, and participating in volunteer organizations. Women increasingly took on roles traditionally held by men, who were away fighting. Propaganda was used to boost morale and encourage enlistment and support for the war effort. The Home Front was crucial, as it provided the necessary supplies, labor, and morale to sustain the military campaigns abroad.
