HFS+
HFS+ (Hierarchical File System Plus) is a type of file system used by Apple devices like Mac computers to organize and store data on their drives. It manages how files are saved, retrieved, and organized within folders, ensuring data is stored efficiently and securely. HFS+ supports features like file permissions, journaling (which helps recover data after crashes), and larger file sizes, making it reliable for everyday use. It replaced the older HFS system and was later succeeded by APFS on newer Macs for enhanced performance and security.
