Healthcare Commission

The Healthcare Commission was an independent body in the UK, established to ensure that healthcare services met national standards for quality and safety. It assessed, inspected, and reported on various health services, including hospitals and primary care. The goal was to help improve patient care and hold healthcare providers accountable. In 2009, it was merged into the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which continues to monitor, inspect, and regulate health and social care services to ensure they operate effectively and safely for patients.
