Hair
Hair is a protein filament that grows from follicles found in the skin of humans and many animals. Composed primarily of keratin, hair serves various functions, including protection, insulation, and sensory perception. It comes in different types, textures, and colors, influenced by genetics. Hair grows in cycles through phases: anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (resting). While it has cultural and aesthetic significance, hair also plays roles in regulating body temperature and providing sensory input. Additionally, it can indicate health status and age, as its condition and growth patterns can change over time.
