gymnastics scoring

Gymnastics scoring is based on two main components: the Difficulty Score (D Score) and the Execution Score (E Score). The D Score reflects the complexity and risk of the performed routine, rewarding gymnasts for incorporating harder skills. The E Score assesses the quality of execution, deducting points for mistakes like falls, form breaks, or lack of precision. Judges combine these scores, with the E Score starting at 10 and deducting points for errors. The final score is the sum of the D and E Scores, giving a comprehensive evaluation of a gymnast's performance.
