Grazing Methods
Grazing methods refer to the ways in which livestock, such as cattle or sheep, are managed on pastures to optimize their feeding and land sustainability. Common methods include continuous grazing, where animals have unrestricted access to a pasture, and rotational grazing, where animals are moved between different areas to allow grass to recover. Strip grazing limits livestock to narrow sections of pasture, improving forage intake and soil health. Each method affects plant growth, soil fertility, and animal health differently, and careful management can enhance productivity while preserving the ecosystem.
