Graduated Licensing

Graduated Licensing is a phased approach to obtaining a driver's license, designed to enhance safety for new drivers. It typically involves multiple stages: a learner’s permit, a provisional license, and finally a full license. In the initial stage, new drivers practice under supervision with restrictions, such as limiting night driving and the number of passengers. As they gain experience and demonstrate responsible driving, they progress to the next stages, eventually earning full driving privileges. This system aims to reduce accidents by allowing new drivers to develop their skills gradually in a controlled environment.
