Gospel

The term "Gospel" generally refers to the teachings and narratives about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, primarily found in the New Testament of the Bible. The word itself means "good news." The Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—are key texts in Christianity, presenting different perspectives on Jesus’ message of love, forgiveness, and salvation. They emphasize the importance of faith and the promise of eternal life for believers. Beyond religion, "gospel" can also refer to anything considered a definitive truth or principle in various discussions or fields.
