Biblical Apocrypha
The Biblical Apocrypha refers to a collection of ancient writings related to the Bible but not considered part of the official Jewish or Protestant canonical scriptures. These texts, often included in Catholic and Orthodox Christian traditions, include historical narratives, wisdom literature, and additional teachings. They were written between the Old and New Testaments and provide cultural and religious insights from that era. While valuable for understanding historical context and beliefs, they are regarded as non-canonical by many Protestant groups, meaning they are not regarded as divinely inspired Scripture but are still important for historical and theological study.
