Gondi

Gondi is a Dravidian language predominantly spoken by the Gondi people in central India, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. It is one of the many indigenous languages of India and has several dialects. Gondi has a rich oral tradition and is an important part of the cultural identity of its speakers. Despite its significance, Gondi faces challenges such as declining number of speakers and the influence of dominant languages like Hindi. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the language through education and cultural initiatives.
