Francis Xavier

Francis Xavier (1506–1552) was a Spanish priest and co-founder of the Jesuit order, known for his missionary work in Asia, particularly in India and Japan. He played a key role in spreading Christianity during the Age of Exploration. Xavier is celebrated for his dedication and ability to connect with diverse cultures, often learning local languages to communicate effectively. His efforts led to the establishment of missions in several countries. Canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church, he is regarded as one of the greatest missionaries in Christian history and remains a significant figure in religious and cultural exchanges.
