Fludarabine
Fludarabine is a chemotherapy medication primarily used to treat certain types of blood cancers, such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and some forms of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It works by interfering with the cancer cells' ability to grow and multiply by blocking their DNA synthesis. Fludarabine is usually given intravenously or in pill form and can be part of a combination therapy with other drugs. While it can be effective, it may also cause side effects, such as low blood counts, fatigue, and increased risk of infections, necessitating close monitoring by healthcare professionals.
