Extragalactic Astronomy

Extragalactic astronomy is the study of astronomical objects outside our Milky Way galaxy, including other galaxies, star clusters, and cosmic phenomena. It bridges several fields: astrophysics addresses the physical processes in these systems; cosmology explores the universe's large-scale structure and evolution; and observational astrophysics uses telescopes and instruments to gather data, while theoretical astrophysics develops models to explain these observations. This field helps us understand the nature of the universe, the formation and behavior of galaxies, and the fundamental laws governing the cosmos, providing insights into our place within it.
