Emanuel Steward

Emanuel Steward was an influential American boxing trainer and manager, renowned for his work with elite fighters, most notably Tommy Hearns and Lennox Lewis. Born in 1944, he founded the Kronk Gym in Detroit, which became famous for producing champions. Steward was known for his strategic coaching style and ability to enhance his boxers’ skills, earning him multiple Trainer of the Year awards. His insights extended beyond training; he was also a respected commentator and analyst. Steward passed away in 2012, but his impact on the sport endures through the many fighters he helped develop.
