Einhard

Einhard was a Frankish scholar and historian best known for his biography of Charlemagne, the King of the Franks and later Emperor of the Romans. Born around 775, he was a close associate of Charlemagne and served in his court. His work, "Vita Karoli Magni," is a key primary source for understanding Charlemagne’s life and the Carolingian Renaissance, which revived learning and culture in medieval Europe.
