Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Khan, also known as Bacha Khan, was an influential Indian freedom fighter and political leader in the early 20th century. Born in 1890 in what is now Pakistan, he advocated for nonviolent resistance against British colonial rule and played a key role in the Indian independence movement. He founded the Khilafat Movement and the Khilafat Party, aimed at promoting unity among Muslims and Hindus. Ghaffar Khan is also recognized for his commitment to education, social reform, and the welfare of the Pashtun people. His philosophy of nonviolence and civil disobedience earned him admiration from leaders like Mahatma Gandhi.
