Doula

A doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to a person before, during, and after childbirth. They help create a positive birthing experience by offering comfort measures, answering questions, and advocating for the birthing person's needs. Unlike medical staff, doulas do not perform clinical tasks or deliver babies, but they work alongside healthcare providers to enhance the overall birth experience.
