Donald Hebb
Donald Hebb was a psychologist who proposed that the brain learns by strengthening connections between neurons when they activate together. In simple terms, if two brain cells (neurons) fire at the same time repeatedly, the connection between them becomes stronger, making it easier for them to communicate in the future. This idea, often summarized as "cells that fire together wire together," helps explain how learning and memory work in the brain. Hebb’s theory underpins much of modern neuroscience and our understanding of how experiences can shape neural pathways.
