Diffusionism

Diffusionism is a theory in anthropology and sociology that explains how cultural traits, such as ideas, technologies, and practices, spread from one society to another. It suggests that innovations and customs often originate in a specific culture and then diffuse outward to others through trade, communication, or migration. This perspective highlights the importance of interaction between societies and emphasizes that cultural change often occurs through the sharing and adaptation of existing elements, rather than through independent invention or development in isolation.
