Diamond Trading Company

The Diamond Trading Company (DTC) was a key player in the global diamond industry, primarily handling the sale and distribution of diamonds. Established by De Beers, it purchased rough diamonds directly from mines and then sold them to designated customers, known as sightholders, who are authorized dealers. The DTC aimed to maintain diamond prices and control supply to ensure market stability. Over the years, the DTC adapted to changing market conditions and competition, restructuring its operations to remain relevant. In 2012, it rebranded as De Beers Group Supply Chain, continuing its mission in the diamond trade.
