Denisovans
Denisovans are an extinct group of ancient humans closely related to Neanderthals and modern humans. They were identified from fossil remains discovered in Denisova Cave in Siberia, Russia. Denisovans lived around 300,000 to 50,000 years ago and are believed to have inhabited parts of Asia. Genetic evidence shows that they interbred with modern humans, contributing to the DNA of some people today, particularly in Melanesia and East Asia. Their discovery has provided insights into human evolution and migration patterns, highlighting the complex relationships among different human species in our evolutionary history.
