
David Walker (activist)
David Walker was an African American abolitionist and social activist born in 1785. He is best known for his powerful pamphlet, "Walker's Appeal," published in 1829, which called for enslaved people to revolt against their oppressors. Through his writing, Walker highlighted the injustices of slavery and urged African Americans to fight for their rights and freedom. His bold stance and eloquent arguments influenced the abolitionist movement and inspired others to advocate for racial equality. Walker’s work made him a significant figure in the fight against slavery and for human rights in America. He died in 1830 under mysterious circumstances.
