David A. Petraeus

David A. Petraeus is a retired four-star general in the U.S. Army known for his leadership in the Iraq War and as the commander of U.S. Central Command. He played a key role in developing the "surge" strategy, which aimed to stabilize Iraq by increasing troop presence and focusing on counterinsurgency efforts. After retiring, Petraeus served as the Director of the CIA from 2011 until 2012.
