DAPT Study
The DAPT Study (Dual Antiplatelet Therapy Study) researched the effects of using two blood-thinning medications together, typically aspirin and a second drug, in patients who have undergone coronary artery stenting. The goal was to determine whether taking both medications for an extended period after the procedure reduces the risk of heart problems, such as heart attacks or the need for further procedures, compared to taking aspirin alone. The study aimed to find the right balance between preventing blood clots and minimizing the risk of bleeding. Results help guide treatment plans for patients with heart conditions.
