Coalition of Black Trade Unionists

The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) is an organization formed in 1972 to advocate for the rights and interests of Black workers within the labor movement. It aims to promote social and economic justice, diversity, and equality in the workplace. CBTU focuses on addressing issues such as racism and discrimination, supporting Black leadership in unions, and ensuring fair labor practices. By empowering Black workers and fostering solidarity among all workers, CBTU seeks to create a more equitable labor environment and enhance the effectiveness of trade unions in representing diverse communities.
