Clark Air Base

Clark Air Base was once a major U.S. military installation located in the Philippines, specifically on the island of Luzon. Established in the early 1900s, it played a crucial role during World War II and the Vietnam War, serving as a key strategic base for air operations. In 1991, after the eruption of nearby Mount Pinatubo and the expiration of the U.S. lease, the base was closed. Today, it has been transformed into Clark Freeport Zone, a commercial and industrial area, while preserving some historical sites related to its military past.
