CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) characters
CJK characters refer to the writing systems used for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages. Chinese uses thousands of logographic characters, each representing a word or concept. Japanese combines these characters (kanji) with two syllabaries, hiragana and katakana, to express sounds and grammatical elements. Korean employs its unique script called Hangul, consisting of phonetic blocks representing individual sounds, though it also incorporates some Chinese characters (hanja). Together, these writing systems reflect the complexity and richness of the languages and cultures they represent, historically influencing each other while also retaining distinctive traits.
