Caste-Based Violence

Caste-based violence refers to physical and psychological harm inflicted on individuals or groups based on their caste identity, often in societies with rigid social hierarchies, like in India. This violence can manifest as discrimination, social ostracism, harassment, or even severe acts like assault and murder. It stems from deeply rooted prejudices against lower caste individuals, often called Dalits, and is perpetuated by ingrained societal norms.
