Carl Friedrich Zelter

Carl Friedrich Zelter (1758-1832) was a German composer, conductor, and music educator known for his contributions to choral and vocal music. He led the Singakademie zu Berlin, a prestigious choral society, where he encouraged the performance of classical and contemporary works. Zelter was also a close friend of the famous poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, with whom he collaborated on various projects.
