Cardinal Numbers

Cardinal numbers are the basic numbers used for counting and indicate quantity. They answer the question "how many?" For example, when you say there are three apples, "three" is a cardinal number. Cardinal numbers include all the whole numbers like 0, 1, 2, 3, and so on. They differentiate amounts but do not convey any order or position, which distinguishes them from ordinal numbers that indicate rank, like first, second, or third. In summary, cardinal numbers represent how many objects or items exist in a set.
